Prof. Khar has served in various administrative and academic positions at Jamia Hamdard in the capacities of DEAN and Head of Faculty of Pharmacy. Prof. Khar has supervised 55 Ph.D. and 85 M.Pharm scholars. He has published over 300 research papers and is inventor of two US and one Indian patent and 14 other have been filed. He has also published 11 text books, including the latest one, 4th revised edition (2013) of Lachman’s ‘Theory and Practice of Industrial Pharmacy’. Prof. Khar has held executive positions in AICTE, CSIR, IPA and other government and professional organizations. He was bestowed with ‘Teacher of the Year’ Award in 2002 by Indian Pharmaceutical Teachers Association and ‘Life Time Achievement’ Award in 2012 by Association of Pharmacy Professionals.
